As part of our special Holiday Travel Tips series, here’s tip #1:
With 2012 just around the corner, now is the perfect time to be thinking about where your travels may take you — and where you’ll find inspiration for travel articles or photo shoots — this coming year. With that in mind, as we head into the holiday season, I’d like to share some of our favorite travel tips…in the hope that they might make your journeys that bit easier and more enjoyable. So, starting today, and for the next nine days as we countdown to the New Year, look out for a special Holiday travel tip from me. Now, without further ado, here’s today’s travel tip… ** Holiday Tip #1: A quick fix for mosquito bites You may not know it, but your kitchen may be stocked with one of the best cures for mosquito bites… Yes, if you’ve got soy sauce in your cupboards, you’re ahead of the game for when these nasty little guys bite. If you’re attacked, just rub soy sauce on the affected area and watch the swelling go down super-fast. Soy sauce, in fact, is good for all types of swelling and has been known to work wonders on burns that happen around the kitchen (after treating with cold water first). For carrying on your travels, stock up on soy sauce in sachet form.
