This is a bonus holiday tip… It’s one I stole from an attendee at our last big photography event in Portland, OR… She said that the best thing she ever did was put her camera manual in the bathroom. Now, when her husband goes to the bathroom, he picks it up and flips through it. He’s more technically inclined than she is, so when they’re out with her camera, he’ll say things like: “Let’s use the self-timer feature and get a shot of us together…” or “There should be a setting in here that lets you override the camera’s flash and get a picture indoors without the flash going off…let me see if I can find it.” He now knows more about her camera than she does. And she never has to read her manual. Thanks for the tip, Caroline.
