Sydney, capital of New South Wales and biggest city in Australia, is an interesting yet intimidating place. So much to see, so little time…
“No worries, mate.” Join the I’m Free Sydney Sights Tour. This free walk led by a dynamic uni student will have you discover the city’s main attractions, including Martin Place, the talking dog, Sydney Tower, Hyde Park, the Opera House, The Coathanger (as Sydneysiders nickname the Sydney Harbour Bridge), and more.
Your guide will tell you all about the local tales, tips, the history, the trendy spots, the shopping quarter, and the most expensive street in town!
Run by a student organization, this unique two- to three-hour tour is free but tips are always appreciated. (www.imfree.com.au) Meet up at 10:30 a.m. every day by the anchor at the town hall on George Street (between Druitt and Bathurst Streets).
The best way to move around Sydney is by public transport, including bus, train, and ferry. Get your free Opal card from any convenience store, put credit on it, and flash it when entering and leaving any public transport.
Tip: Every Sunday, with your Opal card you can ride the train, bus, and ferry as much as you want for a one-time 2.50$AUD fee (around $1.75)!
