It will take you a couple of hours from Las Vegas, or 4-hours from Los Angeles to be transported to a spectacular location.
Feeling Sedona’d out? Visitors needing an escape from vortex energy should head south. Less than a half-hour drive from Sedona lies the pocket-size town of Cottonwood, Arizona. Once a sleepy pass-through city, Cottonwood has become a destination and makes for a relaxing one or two-night stopover.
Last winter, an invitation was extended to my friend and me to travel to Mexico for a stay at his hostel in Mazatlán. We were anxious to escape Colorado’s hostile freezing temps. We packed up and headed south, ready for anything. After a relatively easy border crossing at Juarez Mexico, our excitement started to mount as we entered the great Sonoran Desert of Central Mexico.
Throughout the day, the Hotel de Glace, located 10 minutes from downtown Quebec City, hosts throngs of tourists who come to tour the icy rooms and admire the beauty of this amazing place. Sculpted completely from snow and ice, this unique hotel is created each winter and demolished again each spring. This year’s theme of Myths and Legends from Around the World includes a 600-pound ice chandelier, an ice chapel where weddings are held, and an indoor ice slide. Many will enjoy cocktails in the “ice bar” where colorful drinks are served in glasses made from translucent blocks of ice.
