Dear Reader,

We talk a lot about how to take a better photo or write a more saleable story.

This week, however, I’m going to focus on nothing else but one new opportunity that could be your big break into paid travel writing, starting next week.

This is an opportunity to get published in a casual environment, with a regular paycheck. But you have to apply by next Monday.

Details below…

And stay tuned for more photo and travel writing opportunities this week.

BOOTSNALL: LAND A PAID GIG ON BOOTSNALL.COM

Online travel community, Bootsnall.com, is starting up a new program, called the Bootsnall Travel Writers Platform and they’re looking for writers. If you can blog about an area you know well, you’ll get paid.

Your blog topic can be a destination (from cities to entire countries), or a theme, like Adventure Travel, Business Travel, Travel Gear, etc. Or, if you already have some good blog ideas in mind, you can propose your own topic. Most anything is open right now, since this program is just getting started.

Each week, you’ll be expected to write a feature article and blog posts, as well as interact with readers through social media. The time commitment is about 10 hours per week.

Pay starts off at $100 to $500 per month (based on the amount of content you produce), plus a 30% to 40% share in profits (my guess is that profits come from ads they place within your blog content). The content you submit must be exclusive to Bootsnall.

If it sounds like something you’d like to do, pick a location or topic that you’re an expert in and apply by Monday, March 15, on the Bootsnall website.
