Now that you’ve reflected on what’s to come in 2011… maybe made some wishes and a few resolutions… it’s time to show the world the New You. This month’s Photo Challenge theme is called New Year, New You because we want pictures of you — who you are, who you think you are, who you want to be. Acceptable entries include: — Self portraits… — Creative interpretations of “self”… — Photos of you including reflections, creative light sources, shadows, etc… — Collages of multiple images in one… — Photos of elements that make you who you are — objects that are symbolic in your life… your hands busy at work… you reflected through your family… etc… — Anything (barring nudity or profanity) that you feel expresses who YOU are. And, I’m serious about the nudity and profanity. Let’s keep this family-friendly. And only ONE entry per person. Remember to use good composition, exposure, and focus if you’d like to win. Here are some great examples to get you inspired: Submissions for January’s Challenge are due by 8:00 a.m. EST on Monday, January 31. You can submit your photos by clicking on the “Photo Challenge” link on our website. This month’s first-place winner will get a $30 gift certificate to the AWAI E-Bookstore, and the first-, second-, and third-place winners will all be entered into the Hall of Fame, to compete for the 2011 $2,000 Grand Prize. Remember, only ONE entry per person. Good luck, and have fun!
